Enactus U of S participates in regional exposition

Earlier this month 20 students from the University of Saskatchewan Enactus group travelled to Calgary, Alberta to participate in the Enactus Canada Regional Exposition.

During the Regional Exposition Enactus U of S competed in four different categories, showcasing how their community outreach projects and business ventures are making a real impact. This year the team placed in two of the four categories:

    • Scotiabank Eco Living Green Challenge Regional Runner up
    • TD Entrepreneurship Challenge Regional Runner up

"The competition is a great way to learn new ideas other universities have come up with across western Canada. It’s also exciting to present our hard work to industry leaders," said Ashlyn Downing, Enactus University of Saskatchewan VP of Communications. "This experience really motivates and inspires all of the students that participate."

Annually, Enactus Canada Regional Exposition – Western Canada brings together student, academic and industry leaders to celebrate the achievements of Canada’s future leaders and entrepreneurs.

During the event, students showcase how their community outreach projects and business ventures are making a real impact in Canada and beyond. Through rounds of live, presentation based competitions, business leaders serving as judges determine which Enactus teams and student entrepreneurs will be named Regional Champions and move on to the final rounds of competition held at the Enactus Canada National Exposition.

The competitive process, along with additional programming, provides an opportunity for collaboration and best-practice sharing, fosters innovation, encourages results and rewards excellence in entrepreneurial, community leadership.
